Sheltersuit Sleep Out
Sheltersuit organises the Sheltersuit Sleep Out to generate attention for the homeless issues in the world. Under the guidance of a great programme, the participants will keep each other warm throughout the night and, at the same time, raise money through sponsoring. The amount raised will be donated to the Sheltersuit Foundation, which will use it to make special waterproof and windproof coats called Sheltersuits. The dream: for no one in the world to ever be cold.
The Sheltersuit Sleep Out takes place in the night of 14 to 15 March and you can still register. There are only a limited number of places available, so make sure to register here.
Sheltersuit
In 2017, Bas Timmer won the Dutch Design Awards (DDA) Public Award and was nominated in the category Product with his Sheltersuit. The Sheltersuit is a water and wind-tight jacket that can be transformed into a sleeping bag, providing the homeless with protection from all sorts of weather conditions. Every Sheltersuit is unique, because they are made from donated high-quality materials.
