Dutch Design Foundation
We are optimists! We believe in the problem-solving capabilities of designers and offer them opportunities, support, publicity and a platform. By showing how designers worldwide are shaping a positive future, we strengthen their position and significance far beyond the Netherlands. We do this by organising Dutch Design Week (DDW), World Design Embassies (WDE), Dutch Design Awards (DDA) and What if Lab (WiL). Our organisation, Dutch Design Foundation (DDF), is a non-profit foundation with a two-member board of directors and a supervisory board.
Will you be the new Social Media Marketeer for DDW and DDA?
As our new Social Media Marketeer, you will mainly work for Dutch Design Week and Dutch Design Awards. Both labels build-up towards October each year, when the nine-day DDW takes place in Eindhoven. To expand our permanent team, we are looking for a Social Media Marketeer. Start date: 1 May 2021, earlier if possible.
As Social Media Marketeer you are completely comfortable in the digital landscape and you know exactly how to maintain and expand an online community. You will manage the social channels of DDW and DDA daily and think about ways to increase the reach and engagement of these channels. Through both organic and paid posts, you guide relevant traffic to our websites. Besides, you think along about the social strategies of DDW and DDA and joint social campaigns with partners. The Social Media Marketeer is part of the Marketing team and works closely with the Digital Marketing Manager on the one hand and the Manager Content Development on the other.

Will you be joining the Marketing & Communications team of Design Works?
At Design Works (World Design Embassies, What if Lab, Driving Dutch Design and Eindhoven Design District), we work together with partners and designers on solutions to social issues and new perspectives for the world of tomorrow. We do this in the form of a year-round programme (including conferences, challenges, livestreams), various content formats (including podcasts, articles and videos) and manifestations at Dutch Design Week. To support the permanent team, we are immediately looking for a Marketing & Communications employee (jr).
You will specifically focus on the communication about Design Works (especially World Design Embassies and What if Lab). You will manage the websites and social channels daily. You will maintain and build the online communications of the labels and think about ways to increase the reach and engagement of these channels. You publish articles and news items on the websites and send out newsletters. To do this, you collect newsworthy content from partners and convert it into catchy texts. You ensure a smooth internal and external communication flow. You are the go-to person for partners and clients regarding questions about the websites and the placement of content. You work closely with your colleagues from the programme and communication departments and provide all-round support for the various Design Works projects, from preparing presentations and meetings to keeping track of data in our CRM.
