DDA Public Award's new name is Frame Public Award

July 28 2014

Frame Publishers and Dutch Design Awards (DDA) are going to collaborate. The publisher of the design magazine does not only connect its name to DDA's annual Public Award, but also organizes a lecture related to the overview exhibition of the works by the finalists during Dutch Design Week. The first Frame Public Award is presented on Saturday, October 25, 2014.

Through this cooperation, both parties aim to highlight the work of the finalists in a better and more substantive way. Robert Thiemann, Director Frame Publishers: “It is important to us to offer our support to the most important design prize in the Netherlands, and we are committed to developing the Frame Public Award into a leading notion across the world.” One of the activities we aim to accomplish this with is ‘Ninety Minutes of Frame’. In this session, which is led by a moderator, a closer look is taken at the work and the profession of the DDA finalists. Ninety Minutes of Frame is part of the program related to the DDA overview exhibition, which takes place in Eindhoven from October 18 up to October 28.

Online voting for the Frame Public Award is possible from October 1 up to October 25 through www.dutchdesignawards.nl/vote. Visitors to the overview exhibition during Dutch Design Week can also vote in person in building Yard at Strijp-T. The announcement of the winner as well as the prize-giving ceremony of the Frame Public Award will take place on Saturday October 25, 2014.
