DDA has appointed creative agency Glamcult Studio as art directors of the 2016 edition. Glamcult Studio develops brand identities, campaigns, exhibitions and publications. For DDA 2016 they are developing the concept and the layout of the exhibition and the Awards Show, for which they are inspired by classical show elements. The result: a spectacle of light and shadow highlighting the strengths of each individual finalist. The nominees’ projects will be shown, but attention will also be paid to the design process.

Glamcult Studio is a creative agency from Amsterdam and, above all, the owner of the Glamcult Independent Style Paper. Through the publication of a magazine that is right on top of avant-garde culture, Glamcult Studio has become a platform for various art and design disciplines, as well as for emerging talent. With more than 10 years of experience with both cultural and commercial parties Glamcult Studio’s strengths lie in the fields of art direction, strategy and branding. Clients are both commercial and cultural, including: Museum Arnhem, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, International Film Festival Rotterdam, ArtEZ Press, Ace & Tate, Levi’s, ASICS and Converse.

DDA regularly appoints an external (design) agency for the creative interpretation of the expressions. Together with these parties, a concept is developed for each DDA edition that includes the exhibition and the Awards Show. Following years of collaboration with the renowned agency Studio Dumbar, DDA has opted for young, emerging agencies since 2012, like La Bolleur (2012-2015) and now Glamcult Studio.
