A demountable, transportable, enclosed clear span airing, sports, and recreation place for the illegal migrants on the detention boats in Zaandam. The two open-plan domes of the SportDomes show a decorative latticed pattern that grows more and more transparent to the top.

The splendid spatiality of a dome, the interplay of light, the contrast between daytime and evening, the simple yet sustainable nature of the design, all this makes this project more than worthy of a nomination.
