The Soft Stove is part of a product design study that questions the current dogma’s around material, proportions, usability, functionality and safety. Is it absolutely necessary to create a stove made of cast iron? By experimenting with ceramic textiles the contrary can be shown: this captionated Soft Stove kan easily hit 1600 degrees Celcius.

This is not a ready made product yet, but it is an interesting concept. However there are still many elements that need research. The willingness to experiment with the material without collaboration with the industry is meaningful. Inside the stove the fire can obtain a different esthetic: the fight with what appears to not be possible is interesting.
