The shop with adjoining showroom designed by Merkx+Girod Architects for Royal Tichelaar Makkum is also a commercial space where the layout reflects the profile of the client. The ceramics manufacturers Tichelaar are pleased to present themselves as a company with a rich history. This profile is reflected in the almost museum-like surroundings in which the products have been displayed. The space has as much of a cultural as a commercial feel.

The designers have succeeded in consistently applying a single atmosphere, for example by uniting several functions in large objects.
