A design for a new reception area for the Economics Department where the floor and the furnishings serve as figurative references to activities that are important to the economy.

In their design for the Economics Department of the ROC in Apeldoorn, designers have convincingly demonstrated that space can be created with disconnected, separate elements. The starting point for the concept is strongly anchored in graphic representation of the floor plan, and is seemingly transformed effortlessly into a three dimensional spatial experience.
