Quooker Flex
The project
The Quooker Flex adds a new feature to the fast-growing product category created by Quooker, the ‘boiling water tap’. As well as hot and cold water the Flex immediately supplies boiling water at 100°C. What is new is the flexible pull-out hose for rinsing the basin, for cleaning a large chopping board or for filling a vase. The Quooker Flex concept is globally unique and consequently patented. Quooker is launching a product that combines a clear, functional aesthetic with uses that set a new standard.
Committee
Whereas for previous Quookers a separate hot/cold water tap was necessary, this has now been resolved. The committee now feel that this product has reached its true maturity. This long-term collaboration with different parties has resulted in this extremely impressive technical innovation. The challenge to successfully – and especially in a (child) safe manner – separate the boiling water option from the cold water feature has been met. And it looks good too.
Jury
The integration of boiling water with a mixer tap makes the Quooker more versatile than ever. This extraordinary technical innovation is the fruit of years of collaboration between numerous parties. The challenge of separating the boiling water function effectively – and, most importantly safely (especially for children) has succeeded, and is captured in a stylish design. Quooker, known for its ongoing development and optimisation, brings a convenient functionality into the home. The product that could become such an integral domestic appliance that, in future, every home will have one – certainly if the Quooker Flex lives up to its water and energy-saving promise. Now, our only question is: when will Quooker start dispensing sparkling water?
