Play with Tradition is a traditional hand-knotted carpet. Approximately one-third of the carpet shows a traditional motif. Precisely at this point, the colours in the carpet are extended into stripes. This intervention lends a contemporary, conceptual twist to the traditional carpet. The result is a typical Richard Hutten: conceptual, playful, and surprising.
