Paper Pathfinder

The project
This paper signage for the Rijksmuseum is handy in 2D form, and can without any operating instructions be expanded into a 3D miniature building. The type of paper and the folding mechanism make tape unnecessary.

Committee
This design succeeds in making unclear information accessible to all target groups. It is a simple system that makes a complex space for Dutch heritage transparent and enables the visitor to find the way. Various parties, including ING, Rijksmuseum, and a paper specialist, have cooperated closely in order to achieve this. According to the Committee, this 3D map has a lot of potential, as it is a design that can be applied in several sectors.
