Koga Miyata
Koga Kimera
The project
Koga b.v. developed the Kimera track bike especially for Theo Bos and the Netherlands Track Team of the Royal Dutch Cycling Union (KNWU) during the 2008 Olympic Games. The design of this track bike is based on the Chimera, a dragon-like flying lion from Greek mythology. The most striking features of the bike are the improvements of its mechanical qualities.
Committee
The Koga Kimera (half lion half dragon) is a high-tech bike developed with the help of specialists from aerodynamics and carbon technology. The Dutch track cyclist Theo Bos needed an extremely stiff and low-weight frame; this challenge resulted in a beautiful, streamlined bicycle.
