De Airco Tree for British Airways by Tjepkema Studio (Amsterdam) received a nomination because he reshaped a normally disturbing element of the interior – airconditioning- into an original eye-catcher at the business lounge of an airport.

De Airco Tree turns this technical piece of equipment into the center piece of the space. It also combines the archaïc-primitive elements (a monumental tree) with geometrical shapes and contemporary materials.
