Accessorize is the Rijksmuseum’s first on-line exhibition. The show comprises 250 masterpieces of the Rijksmuseum’s accessory collection. Five centuries of fashion accessories presented in a well-arranged web exhibition.

Actually, this concerns the opening up of a depot that does not lend itself for intensive exhibition attendance. The reproductions of the objects are so good that apart from an attractive image, they offer the visitor the possibility to zoom in on the tiniest details. Visitors experience the sensation of holding these fragile materials in their hands. One of the jury members characterised it as “better than a real museum”. Well, what more is there to say?
